These documents are presented in HTML format (the same format you are using now to access the Internet) and the CD is extremely simple to use. The CD requires no additonal software and you do NOT need to be connected to the Internet to use it-- the CD is self contained and there is nothing else to buy.
There are NO confusing programs to load.
NO confusing programs to learn.
All you have to do is literally Just Point and Click on what you want to read or view.
The interface is simple HTML (the language that most of the Internet is written it) you access the data using your normal Internet browser (AOL-- Internet Explorer-- Netscape or any other browser). To put it simply if you can order this CD from e-bay you can use this CD with no additional learning time. And since you are using your CD-ROM drive access speed is very fast. This CD will continue to give you YEARS of use not matter how many time you upgrade to a new version of your browser it will always work.
There are a number of "similar" data CD's available. They all have much of the same data at their core. What makes my CD's stand apart? Most of the CD's available are either plain text or images files dumped onto a CD. You have no way of finding the title or image you are looking for except by trial and error. Do you want to have to open hundreds or thousands of files until you find the one you want?
My CD's are presented in a very simple manner using a format that most people are already confortable with. These CD's are presented in HTML format (the exact same way you are currently viewing this ad) the only difference being is that you DO NOT have to be connected to the Internet for use (unlike many other CD products) and the response time is almost instantanous. The CD is totally self contained and is MUCH-- MUCH faster than online access in the examples shown here. The interface is EXACTLY as you see it below-- the thumbnail images and the topic headings are "active links" meaning that you just click on them and the larger image opens (again-- MUCH faster than here). NOTHING to install-- NOTHING gets put on your computer hardrives so there are no "security" concerns.
I have been creating CD's for over 7 years and do everything possible to make sure that the most inexperienced computer user will have no problems using them.
My motto is "Designed with my Grandmother in mind"
"If you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door even if you live in the woods"
Questions to ask when buying a CD of electronic texts or Images
1. How are the files accessed?
Be careful-- many CDs available are nothing but text files copied to a CD-- there is no interface for accessing the files-- you have to open them one at a time and you can not move back and forth between files on the CD. Sometimes you will be offered a "printable table of contents" but this hardly a substitute for a software interface. My CD has an interactive interface that is a simple "point and click" action-- navigation is easy and intuitive.
2. Do I have to install a new program on my computer?
NO. While many people will not have a problem with installing a new program on their computer-- doing so can be an irritating experience. Differences in systems can make installation frustrating for new or less experienced users. My CD has NO program to install-- if you are reading this ad then you already have what you need to use the CD as soon as it arrives.
3. Do I have to learn how to use a new program?
NO. With my CD you do not have to learn any new programs or new skills to begin using it immediately. The interface is a very simple but useful HTML code (which is what you are using now). To put it simply, if you have the skills to get to where you are now-- you can us this CD without any problems.
4. If I am not happy with the CD can I get a refund?
Absolutely-- I am confident that you will find this CD very easy to use and full of useful information if you are unhappy with your purchase for ANY reason just return the CD and I will refund your money-- no questions asked.
5. Will this CD work on a MAC?
No-- at this time the CD is only available in PC (Windows) Format.
Full instructions are included
Other than the obvious reason of acquiring an outstanding library in a convenient easy to use-- easy to store format-- this CD-ROM will assist in school or research work while teaching computer skills at the same time-- excellent for home schooling.
